Zero plastic campaign through football
Football is like a religion in cameroon. If you want anything to be widely seen, it is advisable to use football. Hence we cannot underlook the contribution of football in environmental management.
We organized a 2 months football competition sponsored by Mr Njitone son and daughters enterprise in Kumba. This competition took place in the month of July and August 2021 in Kumba precisely makati involving five teams made up of adolescence. The aim was to raise awareness on the effects of plastic to our environment. It is worth nothing that makarti where our competition took place is where Kumba market is located. It was not an error that this competition took place there. By virtue of the fact that this market is the largest in south west region in terms of volume and size, you can imagine the volume of plastic waste thrown in and around the Market daily and yearly. The makarti Community was happy with our competition because from the onset it was collaborative, consultative and most importantly educative and entertaining.
